Jawara Apps
A digital loyalty system for an established bakery, pairing a customer mobile app with an admin platform to manage customer data and sustain their loyalty program.
Year :
2023
Industry :
Bakery
Client :
Jawara Bakery
Project Duration :
2 Months

Problem :
Jawara Roti has been running as a bakery since 2016, steadily growing and focused on giving its customers the best possible experience. Yet the business operated without a digital loyalty system — and that gap made it difficult to manage customer data and run their loyalty program effectively. Without a structured system in place, building a sustainable, ongoing program and creating well-targeted promotions for their products became a real challenge. What Jawara Roti needed was a way to bring their loyalty efforts and customer information together into one manageable, digital foundation.

Solution :
To address this, the project set out to build a digital loyalty system the business had never had before — a mobile application for customers paired with an admin system for efficient management. My role here was slightly different from a typical design engagement: I worked as a Product Designer responsible for feature development, while also acting as a communication bridge between the internal team and the third-party UI designers. Alongside that, I took on the UX Designer role, structuring the user flow and shaping an experience meant to feel intuitive and seamless. Beyond simply digitizing the loyalty program, the focus was on ensuring a smooth fit between Jawara Roti's business needs and the technology solutions being developed — including a user flow designed to actively support their marketing strategies.

Challenge :
The biggest challenge was understanding Jawara Roti's specific needs while identifying the pain points experienced by both their employees and their customers. On top of that, integrating key features with third-party services added another layer of complexity to the work.
While not every detail can be disclosed, this was one of the most rewarding aspects of the project. It required interviewing a range of stakeholders and investing considerable time in research to develop a well-structured product. From there, I worked on an optimized user flow that not only delivers a smooth, intuitive experience but also meaningfully supports Jawara Roti's broader marketing goals.
Summary :
Overall, the project was a success — measured through both user satisfaction and the seamless experience reported by those I interviewed directly. Feedback gathered from Jawara Roti's employees indicated that the new system improved their workflow efficiency by 30%. This outcome reinforces how effectively the product addressed their operational needs while elevating the overall user experience, turning a previously absent loyalty system into a solid digital foundation for sustainable growth.
