Kertask
Task management system
Year :
2021
Industry :
Task Management
Client :
Oxbridge Technology
Project Duration :
2 Months

Problem :
Managing an architecture project involves far more than design work alone. On the ground, teams struggled to keep track of project progress, monitor the attendance of drivers delivering building materials, and handle day-to-day workforce reporting. Much of this was done manually and across scattered tools, which made it difficult to get a clear, real-time picture of where things stood.
Workers themselves voiced a recurring wish: a single, all-in-one solution to manage their attendance and generate accurate presence reports, rather than juggling separate processes for each task.

Solution :
Kertask was designed as a unified workspace that brings these fragmented processes together in one place. Progress tracking is made intuitive through a visual, drag-and-drop approach paired with clear progress indicators, so teams can see the status of every task at a glance.
Attendance is streamlined through a modern check-in method that removes the friction of manual record-keeping, while built-in reporting consolidates the workforce data project managers and HR need into a single, accessible output. The goal throughout was to replace scattered, manual routines with one coherent tool that feels effortless to use.

Challenge :
Beyond feature and product development, the biggest challenge in this project was designing a high-fidelity UI. This was the first time I created a UI design without a front-end developer alongside me to handle the implementation. As a result, I had to ensure the design stayed simple and straightforward to build, while still holding a strong and appealing aesthetic.
For the second version of the product, the main challenge lay in communication and aligning ideas between two different offices, involving a range of stakeholders. My role was to bridge that communication and ensure that every idea remained consistent with the core concept and vision of Kertask.
Summary :
Both versions of Kertask have been completed, though neither has been officially launched. That said, based on a series of tests conducted with our office partners, 95% of respondents expressed their satisfaction and found Kertask's features and workflows highly beneficial.
